Last updated: August 29, 2026

Credit Score by Attorney, Inc. (“Credit Score by Attorney,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides credit repair services in coordination with a licensed attorney. Because our work involves your credit file, Social Security number, and other financial information, we’ve written this Privacy Policy to give you a clear, complete picture of what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it, consistent with the standards financial institutions are held to under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), even where our specific business may fall outside GLBA’s exact technical definitions. By using creditscorebyattorney.com (the “Website”) or engaging our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Name, phone number, email address, and best time to reach you
  • Your credit goals or the score a lender requires
  • If you become a client: your Social Security number, date of birth, credit reports, account histories, and any other information needed to evaluate and work your file
  • Billing and payment information if you enroll in a program

Information collected automatically:

  • Browser type, device type, general location (city/state), and standard web analytics when you visit the Website

We collect only what we need to serve you. We do not ask for or store more than is necessary to review your file, communicate with you, and perform our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your free file review request and follow up with you
  • To evaluate your credit file, identify the accounts affecting your score, and build your individual strategy
  • To communicate with you about your case, your account, or our services
  • To coordinate with the licensed attorney we work with on pre-litigation strategy, where applicable to your file
  • To maintain the records CROA requires us to keep (see Section 8)

3. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Information

Credit Score by Attorney does not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information, including your nonpublic personal information (your name paired with your credit file, Social Security number, or account details), with any third party for their own marketing or commercial purposes. Full stop. This is a stronger commitment than the law requires of us; many financial companies are only required to offer you an opt-out. We’re not offering an opt-out because we’re simply not doing it in the first place.

We disclose information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf, for example the systems we use to manage client communications, and staff at Credit Score by Attorney who need your file to do their jobs. These providers are bound to keep your information confidential and use it only to help us serve you.
  • The licensed attorney we coordinate with on pre-litigation strategy, when your file involves that step.
  • Credit bureaus, creditors, and collectors, as necessary to dispute inaccurate information or negotiate on your behalf, which is the actual work you’re hiring us to do.
  • Legal requirements, if required by law, subpoena, court order, or valid legal process.
  • Safety and rights, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Credit Score by Attorney, our clients, or the public.

4. How We Safeguard Your Information

Consistent with the safeguards standard financial institutions follow under GLBA, we maintain a written information security approach that includes:

  • Administrative safeguards: access to your file is limited to employees who need it to perform your services; staff are trained on handling sensitive financial information.
  • Technical safeguards: encryption of sensitive data in transit, secure storage systems, and access controls on our client-management systems.
  • Physical safeguards: restricted access to any physical records or devices containing client information.

We periodically review these practices and update them as needed. No system connected to the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat your financial information with the same seriousness a bank or credit union is required to.

5. Cookies and Tracking

The Website may use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to improve your experience. Cookies used here do not contain your personal information. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some Website features may not function as intended if you do.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Website is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

7. Links to Other Websites

The Website may link to third-party sites, including credit bureaus or lender resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and encourage you to review their policies directly.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and to satisfy legal and recordkeeping obligations. This includes maintaining a copy of your signed CROA disclosure acknowledgment for at least 2 years, as required by federal law, and other file records as long as reasonably necessary or required by applicable law.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You may contact us at any time to:

  • Ask what information we have on file for you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to records we’re legally required to retain or that are necessary to complete services already in progress
  • Ask questions about how your information is handled

Because we don’t sell or share your information in the first place, there’s no opt-out to exercise, you’re already opted out by default.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. If you’re an active client, we’ll also make sure you’re aware of any material changes that affect how your information is handled.
